WiFi that cuts out: 7 solutions that work

WiFi that constantly cuts out is frustrating. Here are practical solutions you can try yourself.

1. Restart the router correctly

It's not a joke, it works: - Turn off the router - Wait a full 30 seconds - Turn it back on - Wait 2 minutes for it to start

2. Change router location

Position matters: - Put it in a central place - Elevated (not on the floor) - Away from thick walls - Away from other electronic devices

3. Change WiFi channel

There may be interference: - Enter router configuration - Try channels 1, 6 or 11 - Avoid automatic channel - Use apps like WiFi Analyzer

4. Update router firmware

Many problems are solved this way: - Enter configuration (192.168.1.1) - Look for "update" or "firmware" - Download and install if new version available - Restart afterwards

5. Limit connected devices

Too many devices cause saturation: - Disconnect those you don't use - Prioritize important ones - Consider a more powerful router - Use cable for fixed equipment

6. Check for interference

Other devices can interfere: - Microwaves - Cordless phones - Baby monitors - Bluetooth speakers

7. Check with your provider

If nothing works: - May be a line problem - Ask them to check the signal - Request router replacement - Consider changing provider
